Hume Global Learning Centre

#Overview

The Global Learning Centre is part of Hume City Council's vision for a city of lifelong learners who are active community participants. BESIX Watpac delivered the new library together with a variety of functional areas that accommodate a mobile library service, child care, local history museum, exhibition/gallery spaces, learning spaces, Council offices, customer service and call centre facilities, and meeting and function spaces. The centre's design features three main pavilions – articulated in glass, structural steel framing and canopies, and rammed earth walls – which overlay with the sustainable and functional approach that informs the design.
