State-of-the-art building for UQ

Located on the University of Queensland's St Lucia campus, BESIX Watpac delivered the six-storey north building and five-storey south building, which accommodate offices, auditoriums and lecture rooms. A single roof covers both buildings as well as a shared courtyard. The structure is predominantly concrete and incorporates pre-finished metal panelling and precast coloured concrete fins to lower levels. The occupant experience is enhanced with motorised sunshade screens and external louvres installed to protect the interior from the harsh westerly sun.
