Today, Watpac has reached a key milestone in its journey towards a reconciled Australia with the launch of its first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan.

Speaking on the launch, Watpac Chief Executive Officer Jean-Pol Bouharmont said this was a great achievement for the company.

“It is with great honour I introduce our first Reflect Reconciliation Action plan, marking a first important step for Watpac in our journey towards Reconciliation,” Mr Bouharmont said.

“We shall be proud to engage into Reconciliation Australia’s vision for a united country where we can move forward together, creating greater equality and equity for all Australians.”

With 19 March being National Close the Gap Day, Mr Bouharmont said Watpac chose this key day to reflect the importance of Reconciliation.

“We have chosen National Close the Gap Day to launch our RAP as it is a significant day for First Nations People, celebrating the resilience, innovation and success of these communities,” he said.

Watpac is committed to building socially and economically sustainable futures for all Australians, even more for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples. This will be guided by our RAP.
