#About

James was appointed to the role of National Indigenous Affairs Manager in 2020 following a career spanning more than two decades in Aboriginal Affairs across government and industry specialising in economic development, social inclusion, and major policy reform for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. At BESIX Watpac, James strengthens relationships with Indigenous communities, including Traditional Owner Groups, and builds national strategies focused on driving First Nation’s employment, training, and procurement opportunities on construction projects. James has a Master of Arts in Indigenous Social Policy, a Diploma in Health Science (Aboriginal Community Development) and a Certificate IV in Small Business Management.
